Altamaha Fishing Tournament
A Competition at the Orgin

At the confluence of the Ocmulgee and Oconee, Visit Jeff Davis hosts the Altamaha Fishing Tournament. Held at Towns Bluff on the Altamaha River, the contest includes two divisions and provides an opportunity for Anglers to show their skills.

Bass Divison
$50 per team of two anglers
Bass competitions reign supreme in the South! This year, our contest is adding a new bass division. See if you can break the Altamaha’s largemouth record and take home some nice prizes.
1st Place Team = $500 plus 25% of registration fees
2nd Place Team = 25% of registration fees
3rd Place Team = Gift from Bass Pro Shops

Panfish Divison
$20 per team of two anglers

Panfish is what we enjoy the most! This division is where our contest began and remains a key part of the event. Teams do not have to pick a division; they can compete in both if they choose to.
1st Place Team = $200 plus 25% of registration fees
2nd Place Team = 25% of registration fees
3rd Place Team = Gift from Bussey Bait and Tackle of Alma, GA

Absolutely, we encourage you to do so. Teams do need to select both in the registration form and pay the registration fee. We do not offer a discount for participating in both divisions.

At Towns Bluff Park and Heritage Center. The address for the park is 45 Riverwood Trl, Hazlehurst, GA 31539. The park has amenities that the whole family will enjoy. You can learn more at townsbluffpark.org.
We will utilize boat ramp 2 – or the ramp closest to the park’s visitor center.
Our team will be on site for check-in at 7 AM.
