Each year, the Chamber hosts the State of the Community Series. The multi-day event brings residents together to hear an annual update from their local governments.  The event celebrates the prior year’s successes while sharing this year’s goals.

Session One | September 14, 2026

State of the Schools and State of the Hospital

Hear from Dr. Chris Roppe, Jeff Davis County Superintendent of Schools, and Barry Bloom, CEO of Jeff Davis County Hospital, as they share updates on the organizations they lead. 

After their presentations, a moderated Q&A Session will be held.

Hear from Jeff Davis County Officials as they provide an update on the state of Jeff Davis County. Following their presentation, Mayor John Ramay will provide a State of the City presentation.
