Natalie Hayes

Natalie Hayes, HR Director for Jeff Davis County Schools, is a dynamic leader recognized for her commitment to fostering inclusive workplaces and empowering others to thrive. With a career dedicated to advancing equity and professional growth, she has modernized HR practices, strengthened recruitment, and championed diversity across the district. Known for her strategic vision paired with compassion, Natalie mentors emerging leaders—especially women in education—and inspires colleagues to lead with integrity, resilience, and collaboration. Her work reflects a deep belief that strong schools begin with strong people, making her a powerful force for positive change and a deserving recipient of the Women in Leadership Award.

Administrative Professional of the Year

JoAnn Bass

JoAnn Bass was named Administrative Professional of the Year at the Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis County Women in Leadership luncheon. Mrs. Bass has been the primary school secretary for 39 years. JoAnn Bass is a longtime resident of Hazlehurst, Georgia, with deep family and community ties in Jeff Davis County. Known for her involvement in local civic and church life, she has built a reputation for reliability, warmth, and dedication to those around her. Public records connect her to Hazlehurst for many years, reflecting her strong roots in the area. JoAnn’s life story is closely tied to the values of small‑town Georgia—family, faith, and community service—making her a respected figure among neighbors and friends.
